Hot rubber is pressed
through an extruder in car tire fabrication on a belt conveyor.
There it gets stamped, cooled and finally cut.
In turn, the width of the rubber depends on the speed of
the belt conveyor. So in order to control the extruder our
system measures the width of the rubber and saves the results
to the network, where they are used for controlling the process.
