In a carpet factory
long carpet roles are stained or woven. The production
process finishes with the punching of the tiles out of the
roles.
To adjust the position of the punching machine we combined
the benefits of a smart-camera and a pc-based system:
Two cameras search the stamping marks on the carpet role
and determine their center. These preprocessed results are
processed via Ethernet to a panel-pc, which determines the
location of the tile (x-position, -position and angle) and
forwards it to the punching machine.
If four cameras are deployed small deformations can be compensated
and with the deployment of eight cameras the system can manage
three tiles next to each other.
An easy to use graphical user interface makes calibration,
adjustment of parameters and the active intervention in the
production process comfortable. However, important features
are protected by a password. |
